Growing up in a small town in Missouri, I came to love nature and the landscape early on. In college I studied Art, Architecture and Geology before deciding that Landscape Architecture was the right fit for me. Continued study of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning in Italy and Spain gave me an appreciation for both modern and ancient design philosophies.
After graduating from Arizona State University in 1989, I have enjoyed managing design projects in San Diego County, as well as throughout the nation. Particular projects of interest are Water Conservation Educational Gardens, Children’s Gardens, the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park as well as Institutions, Churches and a variety of academic campuses.
While I enjoy all aspects of design, I especially enjoy researching the diverse plant palettes available for a project depending on its region and integrating the most appropriate plants to create a beautiful and sustainable design.
