Gossamer Grove | City of Shafter, CA

WSLA, in collaboration with Jim Stebbins, created the streetscape designs for this single family detached homes project covering over 3 miles.  The concept reflects the agricultural history of the City of Shafter by using “wind row” concepts for tree placement with accent tree planting along meandering walkways.  Shrubs and groundcover plantings meander in mass groupings with a predominance of grasses that move with the breezes creating a sense of walking through fields.
