Flintridge Riding Club | La Canada Flintridge, CA

After nearly 100 years of Flintridge Riding Club’s existence, WSLA was hired to create a new master plan that would guide all future improvements in the short and long term.  Old horse barns that are in good shape and reflect the thoughtful design of the past were retained while all new large corrals were reconfigured to create a more efficient and harmonious layout taking into consideration circulation flow of people, horses and vehicles.

New arenas were sensitively situated through phasing plan, improved horse walking routes are proposed and improved landscape and ADA pathways provide a more luxurious experience at the historic clubhouse.

WSLA lead three productive members workshops to creatively find design solutions that would please as many members as possible through thoughtful discussions in small groups to ensure even the most quiet people felt heard.
